Welcome to Gradeum
When an engineer leaves a firm, they take more than their badge and laptop. They take the answer to "where was that calc," the memory of why the spec was changed in 2014, the mental map of how the project files are organized. Decades of engineering judgment walks out the door.
We built Gradeum because we're tired of watching it happen.
What Gradeum is
Gradeum is two products built on a shared backbone:
- Praxis is for engineering firms. It indexes your entire document library — reports, drawings, calculations, correspondence — and turns it into something you can actually search. Ask a question, get a cited answer, see the source page. The institutional memory stays with the firm even when people move on.
- Civitas is for the agencies that build communities. Ports, public works departments, county engineers. Same engine, applied to assets instead of projects: registry, condition tracking, work orders, capital plans, board briefings.
What "documents never leave" means
This is the part everyone asks about, so we'll be precise.
Nexus, the local intelligence service, runs on your hardware. A workstation, a server, a VM you control. The document corpus, the vector index, and the search results all live on your network. When AI compute is needed for a tough query, the cloud Engine receives a sanitized question and returns a response — but the source documents themselves never travel to Gradeum servers.
The Veil layer scrubs project-identifying and client-confidential information before queries leave Nexus. Sensitivity classification labels every document chunk at ingest time and at query time. The access log is immutable.
This is not a marketing claim. It's the architecture.
Pricing in one sentence
The platform is free. You only pay for compute — the AI work Gradeum performs on your behalf. Solo PEs spend roughly $15 a month. There are no setup fees, no per-seat charges, no minimums.
What's next
We launch on May 4, 2026. If you want to be among the first, join the waitlist or request a demo.
